Re: Alternative Uses for Stockpile Items I used to travel ALOT, and I learned a very useful thing from Aussies.
When you travel, clean your clothes in the sink with shampoo. Most hotels provide shampoo. I did it all the time. Squeeze the water out, and roll it up in a towel to absorb the liquid, then hang to dry- usually ready in the morning (pants take two days, shirts overnight usually). I never ever pay for hotel clothes cleaning service- so expensive!
The only thing is that the clothes sometimes will be a little stiff since there was no fabric softener. Sometimes I would throw in a little conditioner. I've done this for about a decade and it always works for me.
At home, I clean pantyhose and delicates in the sink with shampoo. Woolite is too expensive.
Another WAG stockpile clever use?
