I don't sell on ebay or do the yardsales w/my stockpile. I use what I have for my family first, what I can't use, I give to others & donate to the church.

I give away extras to my Family and Friends. Its fun to give the stuff away everyone is so grateful and it makes me feel good too help out~! Just last week my uncle plowed up my garden for me. I gave him a Big bag full of Purina Cat Naturals. He has like 3 Cats, instead of the "old lady" he is the "old man" with cats LOL.

I have I believe 7 each of the bags, & canisters of cat food and 7 of the dog food bags from the free coupons last week. I am taking my kids to the animal shelter (hopefully this weekend) and letting them give to help our 'furry friends' in need :)
They are so excited to go lol

I don't see a problem with folks selling stuff on ebay, provided that they declare the income they receive and pay taxes on it.

Folks selling stuff all the time are running a business, same as the folks having yard sales every weekend.

I donate stuff instead of re-selling it. It is much more rewarding.

We do as you t-o-n, but not to the same scale!! I wouldn't feel bad about selling a few things, from time to time on e-bay without declaring it, but if I was going to do it regular it would definitely be for income. This is one reason we don't bother with selling on e-bay or yard sales.

A neighbor recently told me about another charitable organization to donate to. I have been once to check it out and make a donation of household goods, I will ask some more questions and see if they can use grocery items...she takes day-old breads but I don't know if they would want to start a small pantry (or if they legally could).

Nope. Don't do ebay - i think the margins would just too be little vs the amount of hassle to do it and all those fees etc. Also don't do yard sales - dont have a yard. Mostly either donate it to the church pantry or give it to family.

One of the things that really sells on Ebay is the scent stories machine. I am sure the disks sell, too, but I don't get those cheaply. But when you can get the machine for less than $5, you can sell it for about $15 (plus shipping). That's a nice $10.
