| Problem with KY Coupons? I tried doing the KY deal for the first time today and purchased 3. When I gave her the coupons the cashier handed back 2 coupons and said it was "one per purchase" and I couldn't use them.
I always took "one per purchase" to mean I can only use one coupon per bottle, since each bottle is a purchase. Am I wrong?
Well, all 3 were already bagged, so I just paid full price for 2. I don't want them, but are a little embarrassed to do a return.
If I can only use 1 coupon at a time, this deal really isn't all that hot for me. |

| Re: Problem with KY Coupons? my store director told me it is not the cashier's job to argue with the customer over coupons. in these situations, kindly ask the cashier to please call the on duty mgr.
all coupons say one per purchase. which means "the customer can use one coupon per item purchased".
there are coupons that read "one coupon per transaction". if you find one, keep it even beyond it's exp date to pull out as an example in the future.
were those the only 3 coupons you had for the entire order ?
did the on duty mgr agree with the cashier ?
if this happened to me and the mgr didn't see it my way, i would've had the cashier deduct the items from my order. i would contact the store director to explain to him/her. you can find your store director's name and contact information at the commissarries.com website. if he/she doesn't see it your way, contact DECA HQ.
i'm not sure i would personally return these two items - your call.

I had 4 coupons on my order, 3 for KY, 1 for soy milk. I had 8 items total in my order. I was expecting to pay around $3 AC, I actually paid 9.17. I will take the KYs back, even though I will be sooooo uncomfortable about it. (I am really shy) There is no point to given that silly place $4. Maybe if they actually did a good job, had cashiers on duty, stock on the shelves, and a variety of products, I'd let it slide, but they never have any of that stuff, so NOPE.
Thanks everyone. I was feeling discouraged, but will find someone to talk to. I guess I'll just try going to the Customer Service window? |

| Re: Problem with KY Coupons? couponing should be a fun hobby. with time and experience, you will know when to stand your ground -- if you are in the right, be polite and kindly ask to speak to a mgr. however, there are times when it's not worth the hassle.
if you prefer to not talk to someone face to face, you might email the store director to explain the situation you experienced and inquire their policy on "one per purchase". you can find his/her email addy is on commissaries.com.
or when you return the 2 bottles to customer service explain what happened and ask whomever is on duty to verify the policy. if you get the same story as the cashier, ask to speak to the store director. if the director does not agree with you, then email DECA thru the commissaries.com website for resolution.

| Re: Problem with KY Coupons? That's never been a problem for me, being shy. I'm the first one to tell the cashier if she doesn't know what the heck she's talking about then maybe she needs to find a new job! What I am/was is terrified of blood, needles, height, flying, you name it. I just gave 7 shots the other day to kittens and I watch my vet spay and neuter foster kittens in my home on a weekly basis. I just got back from flying to Vegas (I fly frequently now)and I have on my bucket list that I want to jump out of a plane. The only way to overcome is to repeat over and over until it's no longer a fear/issue, such as shyness. Take that KY back and stand your ground girl, you DESERVE it. I hope that one day you can overcome you shyness, just remember: practice, practice, practice!
PS When a cashier trys to interpet what a coupon means and they are wrong, like for the "one coupon per purchase" I tell them I know this because I used to be a "coupon writer" when I lived in CA, LOL works EVERY time! Hey think about it, someone has to write coupons! Also there was a tearpad at the BX for Loreal shampoo $1 off and there was NO "one coupon per purchase" printed on it so you could use multiples on one bottle. Guess who told me about the deal? The front end manager, LOL we're in kahoots about all of the deals at the commissary.
