with some commissary shoppers getting 100s of these, i thought this would be a worthwhile thread.

the only one i've found that seems to be worthwhile is

empty contents in a ziploc bag, seal, freeze and use as cold compress or lunch box ice pack.

according to wikipedia:
The jelly has also been used as a thinner for acrylic paints

anyone else have ideas what to do with it ?

or what organization might benefit from a LARGE donation of the stuff ?

I've been wondering the same thing. I have a growing stockpile of it under my sink. (It hasn't grown too fast as I've only been able to work up the courage to buy 3 at a time so far. I know as soon as I loaded in more one of my neighbors or dh's co-workers would be in line next to me!)

Well, I wonder about a low income clinic like Planned Parenthood or Crisis Pregnancy Center? I think the Drs and Nurse Practitioners use this for the exams, don't they?

Yes, they do use it at clinics. I've thought about calling one, but I haven't gotten to it yet.

Call your local animal shelters. I never would have thought of this, but I saw a site called PawMatch.org that collects it. They are located in the Austin, TX area, but I'm sure other places can take it as well. I guess they use it during exams of the animals when taking temperatures, etc.

HTH someone! I don't have a stash of KY, but do plan on getting in on the action once I get some coupons.

please tell me what the deal is i have ten of the 3/1 Q's but I didn't see anywhere to get them cheap or free... please tell me the deal im missing i am new to couponing and it's hard to do all at once thanks for any help Jenn

I volunteer for a local no kill shelter. Yes, we use it but not nearly that much. This shelter houses about 100 cats and dogs and probably wouldn't go through 2 tubes a year. I just had a sick kitten I had to take her temp several times a day, Even though I'm sure I have over 100 KY's I used Vaseline, it's thicker and holds to the thermometer better.

I'm thinking of squirting mine into a kid pool for a KY wrestling match this summer (that's not too R rated is it?) I like the slip and slide idea too!
