The Maxwell AFB AL Commissary has been downgraded due to a lack of sales. They will undergo a reset next week, getting rid of 100s of products they have normally carried to match the inventory of a much smaller commissary. The Gunter Commissary is doing a thriving business, but they have a different management team, one that actually keeps restocking the shelves so customers have products to buy.
The current manager, Ms Hernandez, has had several complaints filed with DeCA, by employees & customers, but to no avail. Her inability to manage the commissary, keep the shelves stocked, especially during peak sales times, and poor customer service is directly to blame for the end of this commissary. Rumor has it that Maxwell will be closed & everyone will have to shop at Gunter.
