Heroes at home?
Did any of you had a chance to sign up for this program this year? I was upset I missed it. It was supposed to last till October 15th but they closed it earlier because of overwhelming response.
I am a little sad. My dh will be deployed soon and I was hoping to make it a good Christmas for kids.
I really hope they'll extend it, but who knows :(

I don't know what it is either...???
But I do know that my husband is deployed and I just got free Daddy Dolls for them! They love them! I don't know if it is just at our base, but I would check your AFRC and see what resources they have for you and your kiddos.

Re: Heroes at home?
Thank you hr born, I will check. Heroes at Home is a program through Sears where you sign up and than can get chosen for them to send you a card. People give donations and Sears splits them up and loads your card couple times.

Re: Heroes at home?
Heroes at home should be back again next year. It's very hard to get in once word gets around. Last year and this year I was able to sign up on the 13th of October. Never wait until the last day because they close it after they get the amount of families they can help (usually between 20 and 25,000) and it's first come first serve.
Write a big note to yourself to check next year from the 12 or 13th of October. You basically have to stalk the web page and the second it opens submit, otherwise you won't get in.
