"I dont know about you guys, but my commissary on McGuire AFB in NJ tends to up their prices when they realize that there is a coupon out there that will give overage!! The hydro razors are currently $7.04 at my commissary!! I also had coupons for crystal light pure fitness powder... they are usually $1.50 a box but once vocalpoint released a coupon for $2 off a box, tmy commissary raised the price to @2... the day after the coupon expired, the price went back to $1.50!! I dont get it! I thought DECA wasnt out to make a profit?? Anyone else notice this?"
Sorry, my copy did not come out right. I have noticed that too.My commissary just did a reset, and they got rid of lots of the trial sizes that gave overage(st. ives, pert +, schick.) I was lucky and found some hidden they were trying to get rid of. I have not found decent deals in a while.

I'm not trying to be the bad guy here, but I don't think the commissary is raising prices on purpose. From my understanding, they do not really have control over pricing. They charge what the vendors charge them. Prices go up on the 15th and 30th (or something close), so there is always the chance that prices will change. If anything, it's the vendors who might be catching on and are changing the prices when they know a coupon is out.
$7 is about normal price for those Hydro razors everywhere else. I think the lower $4-5 prices were a promo since they were a new item. In a lot of off base stores there were special gift card promos, etc, so maybe this was our version at the commissary.
Like I said, not trying to be the bad guy...but I really don't believe that the commissary has a conspiracy against couponers when it comes to pricing changes.![]()
Tivaclare, I used to believe that as well - that the commissary was at the whim of the v endors. However, I have seen a price on an item go up suddenly and then just a few days later it goes back down. It doesn't happen when a new sale begins or ends - it happens anytime.
I have gone to the commissary on a tuesday, saw an item at one price. Went back on Thursday and the price had increased. Then over the weekend it was reduced, sometimes more than when it originally started. Other times it went up even further.
Price changes like that within just a few days back and forth has nothing to do with vendors, I would think. Just expressing my observation over the years.
Doesn't the policy also say that store director can limit the quantities patrons can purchase?
I am really sick to my stomach after reading this. Sick!$9K in one trip in one store? I am dizzy, how angry this makes me. How can you be so selfish?
