GREAT NEW (commissary) COUPON NEWS- verified via DECA Facebook Page

Okay...
Just returned from the commissary and after hearing a rumor, I checked with customer service....

The customer service manager at my commissary said that a NEW email came in today that mandated a CHANGE in their coupon policy. They will now be accepting manufacturer coupons with other stores' logos/ emblems/ etc..on them. They must state "manufacturer coupon" somewhere on the coupon. I know there are several stores here, like Publix that have coupons that say -"must be redeemed at Publix" but that are actually manufacturer coupons.
There are many other coupons similiar to this.....printables, publix flyers, food lion flyers, etc...
Up to now, military commissaries would not accept them. I am very excited about this change, and I hope it to be true. I am going to contact my
commssary to ask them to forward me the new mandate via email, and then I will post it......fingers crossed......

If not, go onto your facebook and look for Defense Commissary Agency and it will pop right up. If you don't have a FB account, I recommend getting at least a "fake" one just to sign up for all the awesome coupon offers!

below is the excerpt from DECA FB page. if your coupon meets the criteria below and your store is not aware, you might want to have them logon to FB :)

Did you know we accept manufacturer coupons that have a Walgreens Register Rewards, Kroger, Target and other retailer’s logo on them? Yes – as long as the coupon verbiage does not limit redemption solely to those stores. Each coupon must be individually evaluated to ensure it states it is a manufacturer coupon and does...n’t limit its use solely to the retailer advertised, the commissary can accept it.

I believe the OP was referring to all of the coupon offers from various manufacturers offered via FB...so moreso speaking in general, as opposed to DeCA offering coupons on their page.

I shop at the CAFB and just used a coupon there yesterday from the New Food Lion booklet...the $2/2 any Glad Products Q. It states manufacturer coupon on it, but does not have the "redeemable at Food Lion only", as Publix coupons usually states...that word "only" is what would cancel out the useage of the coupon at the coupon. Meaning, if the coupon simply stated "redeemable at "X" store" it's ok to use...

...ok, back to the trip on yesterday... the coupon scanned as normally as a manufacturer coupon would/should. So to confirm, CAFB (Charleston AFB) Commissary HAS followed through with the new changes.

denied at my store today on the walgreens and food lion OYNO coupons due to 'redeemable at store name' wording. neither says ONLY

i emailed store director and waiting for reply.

for those who have had success, can you use more than one of the Walgreens RR per transaction?
