Default COMMISSARY people getting vouchers when using overage Q

I read on another site that people are getting vouchers for overage Q instead of other groceries to eat up the overage. I also think they were than using those vouchers in other stores. I was absolutely furious reading this. Then was a concerned post about changed Deca policy, that they will only issue 1 $25 voucher for Comi only. How can this be? Are the managers dumb, that they are even issuing these out, it is against the policy to get money back, isn't voucher the same as money back? I posted a furious post and even used the word that stupid , selfish people like the OP, who do not think about the future, will ruin it for everyone else. I sure hope any of the HCW-ers are not doing something so despicable as the people on the other site.
I was so mad that I went to look from what state the poster is and send an email to her Comi manager informing him, what he is doing is wrong, but the site does not disclose the state unless it is in the location under the name.

I'm not sure what you are referring to -- what vouchers? The only gift certificates I know that are sold by the commissary are only for use within the store and you have to get them at customer service, so you can't use them to eat up your overage.

That is terrible if people have found a way to beat the system. Was the site SD? I go there a lot too and have noticed that people will exploit a deal to death just because they think they can. They will kill a deal in a heartbeat because they get greedy.

I hope no one messes this up for us. There are times when I really depend on the overage -- and I make sure to do everything on the up and up, so it benefits me and the store!

this is happening at my commissary. I thought I had already posted about it. People are using overage to buy gift certs here. You can get them at the register and deca does allow cash back so the managers are being forced to do it. The managers here are so mad about it though, that for the last couple of months they have been petitioning deca to change the overage policy due to what they see as abuse. A cashier and warehouse worker told me about this. They started ticking off the managers when they would bring up only overage items and only buy gift certs with it or when they would leave with owing just a penny. I understand that technically they aren't breaking deca policy but they are seriously ticking off my managers who are getting together with the vendors and complaining to deca. I don't see the overage policy lasting to the new year here. Every time I go in I really expect them to tell me it has been changed. The workers also told me that the lady that is doing this told everyone there about this site, but she is doing overage deals that were never posted here and of course she isn't posting her deals either. I have been hearing about her deals through the cashiers only. I haven't met her yet but I know cashiers who know who she is so I am dying to find out who she is. She won't care about the policy ending too soon because she apparently has plenty of gift certs saved up.

I've never heard of such a thing. And no, I do not approve.

I had no idea the commissary sold gift certs at the registers. It's a shame people are abusing it. Some people can be so selfish!

As far as discontinuing the policy goes, I'm sure they could, but how would they handle it? They aren't allowed to price down the value of the coupon because they still get face value when the redeem it, so how would it get handled? I guess they could stop taking all coupons that were too high, but that doesn't seem right either.

I hope they get this sorted!!

Tiva, the site is A.C. I don't know about the overage not being discontinued. I had no idea about it, I found out about it from here,I think beginning of this year, when I saw a post about the overage coming back. Maybe people who were doing overage and was then done with, can enlighten us a bit.
Primrose, maybe you can find out who this dissgrace is at your Comi, and we will get our pitches and forks ready
It sounds disgusting to me, what she is doing.

I checked at my store and over at AC, and it appears that vouchers are now available at the registers. They are sold in $25 increments and are commissary gift certificates. I'm not sure how anyone is using them at another store or anything like that.

I can't believe some of those people on AC though..."Oh, I couldn't spend my $300 in overage..." with a tee-hee sort of attitude. I'm sorry, but if you order in that many cases, you better be darned prepared to use them! There is no sense is going in there and ordering $300 worth of overage only to buy some milk and a bunch of gift cards. I admit that I order a lot of cases in, and the thought of people ordering them "just because" and to exploit these gift cards makes me furious. I have enough problems getting orders in without shoppers like them hogging up the supplies (lol?).

Hopefully DECA will keep the current policy intact.

What in the world is AC? Whoever these folks are it sounds like they're trying to destroy a wonderful benefit we all are lucky enough to have (when there are any coupons that provide overage around that is)!

I really hope those greedy people don't ruin it for all. I bought all my christmas dinner food with overage and it was wonderful to stock up on baking supplies, a ham etc. plus things we needed like dd's shampoo.

It also hurts everyone because they stop carrying a product or there is no stock for the rest of us to get some. Yes it's first come, first serve but geesh if you have a $300 overage and don't know what to buy then save some for the people with kids to feed!

The other thread, I talked about and replied to at AFC, is now gone. After I saw the OP erased her entire original post, and defended herself she never said she was doing the vouchers bla, bla, bla, but of course she could not edit it out of my post where I quoted it:I asked her why she edited the whole post out, like people won't see the quote in my post.
I then received a friendly reminder from the moderator, not to treat other members poorly and that OP already was informed of her actions being wrong. So, I replied to the mod, I did not know she was reminded, it was not in the thread; and no-one condoned the post so someone had to do it, if something is wrong I will call it wrong, I'm not afraid to get bad points-reps for standing up and do the right thing.I also added if that was on another board i.e. HCW the post would never made it into a thread, and give people wrong ideas, but it would be deleted. And surprise after that PM the thread was puff! gone.
