Re: COMMISSARY coupon problem at the comsy?
My cashiers know me pretty well and while they do a quick check, they trust me. They often tell me they know I'm one of the legit good couponers and I never try and give them a hard time and I buy everything I have a coupon for. They have had problems in the past and I don't blame them.
I just patiently wait while they ring me up and plan for the extra time. I don't go often though, if I was going every day or weekly I suppose it would get old.

Re: COMMISSARY coupon problem at the comsy?
I was told recently in CO (PAFB) that there has been increased coupon fraud. Then in the next breath, the cashier told me that she's never seen it personally - just heard about it. She was a "coupon examiner" for sure. Examined every coupon, gave me a personal lesson in what makes every kind of coupon valid (e.g. barcodes, dot codes, special markings), and kept murmuring things like, "Well, I only remember two of those." or "Are you sure you bought the right kind?" We dug through bags and all of my purchases were validated - but let me tell you - the baggers were NOT happy that she kept asking to pull things back out. I do think it's a bit rediculous and frustrating, too. But, like mommyto3angels said, I just patiently smile.

Re: COMMISSARY coupon problem at the comsy?
Little late to the discussion, but just wanted to add my .02 I usually have a coupon for every item and may have 100 items. So, I put things out in an orderly fashion and I show my ID and let the cashier know that I have a coupon for every item, would they like me to help match them up? If they do, I'll hand them as we go for each item. I've had them ring each item and then ring the coupon. Or, had them ring the item, then verify the coupon and set aside and ring them all at the end. Or, even had them just take the wad of coupons and just ring everything and then do coupons. I think it's all what the cashier is used to doing, and probably how experienced they are.
