    Default COMMISSARY: Using a blinkie...

I wasn't sure where to put this, please let me know if this in the wrong place. Okay I went to the commissary yesterday and got the Oscar Mayer turkey bun length hot dogs that are $1.00. I picked up 4 and pulled out my blinkie for 1/2 that I brought with me. So I'm checking out any my cashier is doing her thing and watching her closely, so she gets excited and she says OMG you really saved a lot. Here comes the cashier from the other station looking at the q's and states, "oh u can't use those red ones meaning the blinkies because the store doesn't have that blinkie machine next to the hot dogs. So I'm just looking at her and my cashier says "why not" she got the correct hot dogs. Then the other cashier states "that as per the memo on the board in the office, a patron cannot use a blinkie that is not already in the store next to the item". The whole time I'm just looking not saying anything, so my cashier says well she's gonna use them today. I have just started shopping this comm and didn't bother asking for a manager because I saw the way she was loud talking another employee in front of customers when I walked in.

Has anyone heard of this 'blinkie policy'. Oh and the prices were higher than most comm. Like the kellogg's cereal (frosted, jack & loops) were all $2.16, and they didn't carry a lot of the items I found at my other comm. But the ALL laundry detergent.....2x ultra concentrated 32 loads (50fl oz) was only $1.99 and I had a $1 q for that.

i have had some not take blinkies saying it don't say manufacturer coupon on it .... (which most don't) also ips from smart source and other ip have been turned down by some because it don't have the dot matrix security code thingy up in the right hand corner... then some other days ... different cashiers take it all... i try to go to the one i know is coupon friendly... but sometimes there is a long line and they tell you what lane to go in and then your at that cashiers mercy... i argue the point but its usually mute....

I am planning on using some of these blinkies this weekend...

I have never had a problem with using blinkies before, unless its a new policy. As long as it doesn't state "only to be redeemed at____" it should be OK.

I hope they dont give me a problem with these....
