Default COMMISSARY Deals: Please Use THIS Format

UPDATE:
ok, i've come to the relization that the format used for RA and Walgreens is not good for the commissary deals.

when i c&p all the deals to future months i sort them alphabetically and the format below works best.

item / item price (if sale price, end date & reg price if known) / coupon value / coupon source / coupon exp dt

EXAMPLES:
reynolds parchment paper 30SF 1.69 (reg 2.07) thru 10/31 - 175/1 or 125/1 IP

Bounty Paper Towels 1.19 thru 10/8 - 1/1 homemailer x12/31/08

Taking lead from rite aid and walgreens forums...

Everything posted in red is required if applicable to the deal in order to be c&p to the OP. Everything in black is optional but helpful !

Product name, Overage/FREE/GDA
Price: Item price if sale include (reg price) and sale thru date
MQs: Coupon; Coupon SOURCE; Exp Date
Other: any applicable rebate offers

EXAMPLES:
KY Jelly 2oz, Overage
1.83 reg price
3/1 5/11V x12/31
3/1 3/9V x9/30

Deli Creations, GDA
1.50 (reg 2.00) sale end date unk
1/1 peelie x12/31/08

Nabisco 8oz cookie, FREE
1.00 (reg 1.59) sale thru 9/10
1/1 nabisco tearpad x9/30
b3g1free coupons from all you x9/30

Please give me feedback on this.

I find the information very helpful. However, I worry it would discourage participation. For example, if I happened to notice a good deal but did not remember to get the "thru date" or "reg. price", would I then not submit the information because it would be lacking the full format requirements...unless we're going to make that optional.

yes, those items you mentioned are in black which are optional.
you can post deals in any format; however, only deals in this format w/ coupon exp date will be c&p to OP and future monthly deals threads.
thanks

I think its a great idea, but I can't promise to get all that info. I just wanted to help others find deals, so I suppose I can just post what information I do have. :)

I think it's a good idea to do something like this; otherwise, we get a lot of extra posts: what Q? Where do I find it? etc.

I am GUILTY of just quickly typing a deal and not doing any research on Qs. However, if I just take a few more minutes to add that then I am saving time for the mod, for others, and making this a more useful forum. So I will work on that.

ok, i've come to the relization that this format is not good for the commissary deals.

when i c&p all the deals to future months i like to sort them alphabetically and this format does not lend itself easily.

so the preferrred format is one continuous line

item / item price (if sale price, end date & reg price if known) / coupon value / coupon source / coupon exp dt

EXAMPLES:
reynolds parchment paper 30SF 1.69 (reg 2.07) thru 10/31 - 175/1 or 125/1 IP

Bounty Paper Towels 1.19 thru 10/8 - 1/1 homemailer x12/31/08
