Share your K-Y story HERE!!

Nobody would understand except those of us who have gotton caught up with the K-Y purchasing hobby. I just think it is funny to read everyone's k-y stories, so everyone should post their K-Y story here. I don't really have one yet, - I have won several K-Y coupons on ebay, so I will be going soon to join the ranks of men and women who plan above all else to purchase K-Y jelly from their local commisary. LOL. I do dread it though,- the manager is nice, but I can just picture him looking at me like I am joking when I request to "special order" a case of K-Y jelly:) I am not sure, but I don't think many people do that at my local commisary, as they don't even really know about overage at all there. I have been building up my courage for a while now, so I'll keep you posted.

NOT A COMMISSARY STORY, WALMART!!

My first visit to WalMart looking for my $3.00 warming KY (free), led me to the $2.64 bottle of plain Jane KY. A great conundrum (do I go with my curiosity and the warming for free...or do I take the overage). I had two q's, I split the difference and got one of each.

Second time I did it, I hit Walmart twice in the same day. The first time I picked up several (5-6) of the $2.64 tubes and just said bring on the overage!! Later that night, I hit the sale that they had on Hershey's syrup (2/$3 w/ $1/2 q, making them $1 ea). I bought 28 bottles...and 4-2 oz bottles of Purell. Oh, did I forget to mention that it was about 11:30 p.m. when I checked out? So, the young male cashier looked at my cart and said, "I'm not EVEN going to ask." At that moment, I was VERY happy that the KY purchase had been earlier in the day at a different Walmart.

I can just imagine checking out in the late hours of the night with 28 bottles of Hershey's, 4 Purell and 5 - 6 tubes of KY. heeheehee

HINT: I grew up in a military family and know that it can tend to be a tighter community sometimes. If you are doing this at the commissary, you may want to break it up...or go to another base/post to pick up your large orders.

I have picked up a few KY's so far, but we are on a really small base and I am so paranoid that people we know are going to see me...I just know they are going to start talking and thinking I am some freak in the bedroom or something

I had to LOL at that comment! That is why I was really hesitant on buying lots of KY at first!

Now, I just don't care--the overage is well worth the odd looks I get. Besides, if you buy it by the case, most people don't even know what you are buying, LOL!

My first BIG trip, DH and I bought a case of KY, 2 cases of Excedrin Back & Body and a case of Monistat wipes, plus the 23 they had on the shelf (they put one of my special order cases out on the shelf instead of holding it ), along with the rest of our groceries. We got some funny looks from the cashier, but by the time all of our coupons came off, he was in AWE at the savings.

LOL My brother is in the Reserves and had to go to the base to update his ID last weekend. I told him there were some deals to be had there, but I didn't think he would 'do' them, he asked what the deal was, I told him about the KY, he said "NO WAY".

I told him that when he gets married, he has to marry a wife that will do the military commisary deals!

I went one day to the commissarry and i bought KY ..18 boxes i bought 11 boxes of the monistat wipes, and i bought 4 tucks for my daughter who at that time just had her baby......i wasnt thinking as i put them on the counter. together....till after she rang up all the stuff i realized mmmmmmmmmm i wonder what she thought.........ROFLMAO ( i just wanted my overage).....

lol, You don't ever really think till after you walk out and realize they were looking t you funny. We bought four of the giftboxes of KY at Walmart and a pack of DD batteries. Overage ate into the batteries cost and DH just grinned the whole time.

After we got in the parking lot he explained what was so funny. I almost died as our cashier was old enough to be my grandmother, lol.

I told dh that we won't look odd with 20 bottles of KY. They just had a unit come back from Iraq, I'm sure they'll think dh is one of the guys that just came home and we're "celebrating" LOL.
