Commissary Key Strokes for Multiples of Same Item or Coupon - key sequence enclosed !

Does anyone know the code? At my store they insist on scanning all 72 KY Qs, etc and it take FOREVER. I can tell it bothers the cashiers and other customers. I've inquired about it before and every cashier has said, "We have to scan each one". Some say the new system we've gotten within the past month won't allow it.

It just doesn't seem efficient that there's no way of inserting a value. I know at my Walmart they can put in multiple Qs.

otherwise, i do not know what it is but i know it's possible and works on some but not all coupons.

I don't know what the code is, but I know that it can be done. The other day when I was there the cashier counted the number of the same coupons and then punched something in, but I couldn't see what it was. It doesn't both me to hold the line up, I tell everyone behind me when I am in the line that I have coupons and it might take awhile that way they have a chance to move to another line if they want.

Hi Guys,
I don't work there anymore but I do still have friends there. My store got the new system in and, yes, they cannot do mulitple quantities for coupons without a key. To be honest I am sure there is a way but they may not have figured it out yet.

LOL...my fave cashier did 72 KY coupons one at a time and then did 24 Splenda coupons all at once by punching a few buttons (no key). We have the new registers. So I don't know what the keystrokes are, but there is a way! I'll ask next time I see him.

yes, i know there is also. some coupons will not take though, some will.

ok, was able to ask my fav cashier today !!

1. hit QTY key
2. input the qty of like product (or like coupon*)
3. press enter
4. scan product (or coupon)

*if the qty of coupon does not work, then try entering a lower number in step #2.
for example, you have 25 of like coupon, if 25 does not work, repeat steps above three times using qty of 10, 10 and 5.

Thank you SO MUCH! Hopefully they will do this for me next week. I have another case of KY and Excedrin coming in and I just hate spending 40 mins at the cash out!

There are dollar amount limits that are in effect for entering quantities of coupons. I believe it's $15 or $20, and after that a manager's key is needed to approve.

We were at the Commissary on Thursday and we talked to our cashier (head cashier at our store) and the customer service manager about the new register systems and they both mentioned the limits while ringing my 34 KY coupons, lol!

not sure what system my store has though it's fairly new.

no key required for the six 4/1 monistat for $24.
for the 15 3/1 KY, she split into 3 scans in groups of 5 ($15 each)
