Who ordered a case of K-Y from HAAF Commissary??

I was at hunter commissary in Savannah the other day trying to order a case of K-Y and the supervisor said she would not do it b/c she knew about the coupons and said there were to be no overages given on the K-Y. She said that someone came in a few days before and ordered a case and thats when she found out about the coupons. I just moved here from Camp Lejeune NC and had no problem with the coupons there. I tried using 5 coupons today and was denied again. I contacted DECA and have yet to hear back from them. Any advice?? Also, if the person is out there that ordered the K-Y did you get to use your q's? Let me know what to do...I still have 125 left

I still want to know why overage is SUCH a big deal unless you expect to walk out of the store, cash in hand? It's not your fault for being able to flush out a good deal and they can change the price in a heartbeat. Not only that, but they should be thrilled you can find a way to supplement the already pitiful pay that most of our servicemen and women have as it is.

I did read in another thread that you could call someone because they are supposed to allow the overage at commissaries. Hopefully someone in the know will be along soon.

Overage is listed in the Deca Directive, people have linked to it here in this forum. Your commissary manager is being out of line and KNOWS it. I had a manager try to prevent my overage even AFTER admitting she KNEW I WAS RIGHT.

I recommend moving up the chain if you have to and standing your ground. I know some people here have emailed and gotten responses back stating overage is ok. It could help to have a copy of the Deca coupon policy.

Thanks for your feedback! I feel the same way about the overage. The commissary gets to turn in my coupons to the manufacturer which in turn makes them money also. I was just so mad yesterday b/c there was no reason why she couldn't have taken 5 coupons. There were like 50 on the shelf and I was going to get 5 I didn't think it was that big of a deal at all. Also, like you said the pay is horrible and I do whatever I can to supplement my husbands pay. I think that I will have to locate a copy of the policy and have it on hand, that way I won't have a problem. I told the cashier/supervisor yesterday that I would be back with my coupons, so I am looking forward to her reaction once I have the policy in hand...

I absolutely would contact DeCA about this. That superviser was out of line and it sounds like she knew it.

Try contacting the store director first to try to resolve this at the local level, but if that doesn't work, move up the chain of command to get the support you need.
