"She's been here before..."

I thought some of you'd get a kick out of this. Today I did a reasonable size grocery, and my first SO for a case of KY.

At the register I explained I had 72 KYs and 72 coupons. The cashier got nervous about the overage and I explained it was ok, but she was really adamant and said she had to check with a manager. I said, "no problem". She walks to the other end of the register line and finds someone.

Well the manager on duty is the one I had it out with a few weeks back, and knew who I was just by my coupons! I was watching, she didn't even look back to see who I was. Cashier comes back and told me manager said "She's been here before..." and that the commissary would be reimbursed the full $3 coupon value so to put them all through.

I thought that was pretty funny. After all was cashed out my cashier tells a nearby bagger "she beat you". I was a little lost until the bagger explained her best coupon savings was $169...today mine was 242.30.

My stats: 167 items (72 of which are KY), 105 Coupons, Total Savings of 91%/242.30. Spent a grand total of 36.56. I'm pretty psyched. My excedrin and glade should be in next week, so the freezer will be stocked!!

that is awesome! i am so jealous of you ladies who can special order, mine does not allow me to.

Are you overseas? I've never seen a store that won't allow special orders. Granted, I've only shopped maybe 5-6 stores, and this is my first time doing one personally, but I know they've all allowed it.

yes, in puerto rico. i asked them to so something before and they said no because they do not normally carry it. i am sure they would still give the same answer even if they did carry the product.

I don't think you're allowed to re-sell things from the commissary. I think you can lose your shopping privs that way.
