Oh, awesome! You all were reading my mind! I'll lead off with a couple of questions.

1. Does anyone know the clearance schedule
2. Does anyone know if the Thomas the train line they carry at Michael's is compatible with the Toys R Us line?

Markdowns are dropped down at least 2 times a week, but don't always hit the sales floor the day they are dropped. That really depends on the team they have doing markdowns . Michaels does have a clearance isle, but many times there are clearance items in their home spaces also - i.e. clearance stickers may very well be in the sticker aisle.
The Thomas the Tank line is the same as you will find in any retail store and definately works with the ones that are carried at Toy's R Us.

I am very excited about this forum! Last night, DH and I were out shopping, and I mentioned to him that I wished there were forums for Joann's and Michaels - and Voila! when I got home, there they were! I wish the rest of my life went that well, LOL.

I love to do crafts alot but I try to limit myself . I know how to knit,sews and make beads stuff. I make alot of baby stuff and use them for gifts. Now you guy are going to make it harder on me because I don't have no more room for all these great deals.

in the early saturday paper here there was the 40% off any one regular priced item. REGULAR priced is the key with Michaels.

does anyone know if michaels takes mfr coupons? surely they do.

A couple of weeks ago, I went to Michaels and forgot my flyer coupon at home, but usually they have flyers by the door, so I wasn't too worried. But they didn't have any flyers, so I asked at the register if they had any extra coupons since I'd left mine at home. She gave me the discount and had me write down my name and zipcode on a form that she had in a drawer under the cash register....I figured it must be their way of making sure that no one customer tries the "I forgot it at home" more than one time per day
