The Michael's I shop at in Michigan makes you write down your name and zipcode when you use a Joann's coupon at their store. Not sure why they do that because when you pay at the register, they have a key they have to press for "competitors coupon" AND they ask you for your zip code for EVERY transaction whether or not you are using a coupon, competitors or store. Seems like they could gather data from the registers. IMO, seems like a big waste of their resources. Slows down the line, slows down the cashiers, and it has to annoy some customers...
