So I usually don't shop at Michael's because I am not real creative. However, I went into the store yesterday with a friend, not planning on purchasing anything. They had a lot of Christmas stuff for $1 or 2/$1 so I started picking me a few items out. I bought 5 sponges so that my daughter can make her own Christmas cards next year, 20 Christmas cards and 2000 stickers. I thought with this stuff my total would be around $8...NOPE!!! The lady at the cash register was just ready to get rid of all the Christmas stuff and apparently most of my stuff did not have a price tag, so she just tossed it in the bag. All this stuff and I paid a whole $1.69!!! So if you have a Michael's and need Christmas stuff for next year, they have some great deals!

Well, that sure is interesting. There are several posts under "After Christmas 2007 deals - Michael's". OPs are saying their Michael's jumped backwardsfrom 70% off to now 60% off. I checked my local Michael's on Friday and it was still 70% off. I'll have to check today to see what it's at.
Sounds like each store might be doing their own markdown depending on how much/little Christmas merchandise is left.

I will be checking my Michael's out as well. Although, when I was in there last week, they really didn't have much left.

I just called 2 Michael stores near me. Both said their Christmas merchandise is 60%. I asked why because it was 70% last week. Neither person could answer my question. Probably because it doesn't make any sense!!!:shrug7:

Newbie here - clearance related question but not about xmas items.
I was in my local M's a while back and found a bunch of iron on transfers for very cheap. I was super excited and got one for me and for each of my daughters.

I then saw that their t's were on sale so I grabbed 2, one was fitted. No where did it say on their signage that fitteds were excluded and it did not say in the flyer either. The clerk and I both double checked, but the manager wouldn't allow it.
Any experiences with this?

I was in two Michael's stores (IL) today. Both had all of their Christmas merchandise marked down to 90%. I was surprised that there was still
quite a bit of good stuff left.

I was at my Michaels in Middletown NY yesterday and they had a lot of their BRIDES brand invitions, thank you cards etc. on sale. When I went to the check out a few items that were supposed to be ringing up between .49 and 1.99 rang up as .1 So I went back and got more. I ended up getting 8 packs of wedding thank yous, 2 tins of confetti flowers, 3 packs of place cards and 4 notepads for.... .17c

Apparently there was a pricing error and it should have been caught by the person who manages that department but it wasn't so they sold the items to me the way they rang up.

Also, if you scrapbook check your Ms to see if they have any more of the Basic Grey sets with the dinosaurs or with the elephants/flamingos... I can't remember the names but they are clearly a little boy and little girl line. They are listed as clearance as 50% off but they are actually 90% when you take them to the front to check out.
