Michaels ~ Christmas Blow-Out is Going on Now

According to the email, you can save up to 70% on Christmas items. I was in my local store yesterday and tons of Christmas items were clearanced. I bought several bead kits for $1.99 which were regular $6.99. I also noticed the small fake trees were 60% off too.

Good time to start stocking up for next year's crafts.

Anybody able to tell me what the status is for Michaels stock of Christmas tins? I usually stock up during the post-Christmas clearance for the next year. But I don't want to go too late when selection stinks. I haven't been to Michaels since Black Friday weekend. So any insight about current inventory levels and how long you think I can wait would be appreciated. Thanks for the intel.

I need good Ornament markdowns. Some of mine are going to have to be trashed since they are broken-probably during the move. Then the tree we bought this year was bigger since we had more room so it looks bear right now with what we have left. TIA!

The Michael's in Ithaca NY and Horseheads NY has just about nothing left on the shelves!!! It really was scorched earth. HobbyLobby was as bad. Completely empty shelves. Might be different elsewhere.

Years ago when I was totally Christmas wacko, I could go after Christmas and get stuff for practically nothing. Still have some really nice decorations I got for $.9. Now, I'm lucky if there's anything to buy. But, the stores didn't used to have sales before Christmas. Now, they do.

I'm starting to think the best bet is to shop early with coupons, at least here.

blech, finally got there yesterday and nothing left. Not even one cookie tin! I did find some at Target at half off, but that was it. And supply was dwindling. Not a year to dilly-dally on the post-Christmas deals, apparently.

I usually find that once the 70% markdown goes on, the stock goes down pretty quickly. I went one year after Christmas and was surprised at how little was really left on the shelf.
