Cycle for 50% off coupons at Michaels?

Does anyone know if there is some type of cycle for Michaels 50% off coupons in the newspaper? When our store first opened there were 50% off coupons all the time. I got really spoiled. Now I see a lot of 40% off coupons.

I heard that certain days of the week the cash register spits out 50% off coupons instead of 40% off coupons. Anyone know what day of the week this happens?

That's interesting. I've never had a 50% off coupon come on a CRT. They have always been the 40% off one item or 20% off the entire purchase. Our Michael's have been around for years and years. We only get 50% off coupons in late fall as it gets close to Christmas and sometimes when there is a Monday holiday or long holiday weekend. Most other times we don't even get the ad in our paper or any coupons at all.

I don't remember the day of the week, but it did spit out a 50% off coupon for me when I went over the holidays. Sorry I couldn't be more help. They do exist though!

It seems lately 3 weeks out of 4 we get 40% coupons with purchase about once a month it's been 50%. I've been taking cake classes at Michaels since August so I am in there all the time.

Last week I got a 50% off coupon on my CRT, it was good for this week. But, it is fall and getting near the holidays when the coupons are better. Plus there was the 50% coupon for Veteran's Day in the flyer. So, I had two this week. I still haven't ever figured out any certain pattern by day of week. I think there are only certain weeks that 50% will print. Most weeks here it is 40%.

I know my Michael's will take competitor's coupons. Thereofre, keep your eyes on the Joanne's ads as well (assuming you are near one). My Michael's (Pgh, PA) will take Joanne's coupons and vice versa.

Oddly what I have found is that whe Joanne has a 50% off coupon practically everything in the store is reduced in some manner so I have to take it to Michaels to use (and vice versa).
