Menards Rebate Items - Gift Giving Ideas

I just thought of this when replying to another thread - Menards rebate items can and do make great gifts - you do not even need to send in UPCs so the recipient doesn't even have to know!

I just thought it would be neat to share either gifts we've given or ideas we have involving Menards rebate items, as a sort of inspiration to others! (pictures would be more than welcome too!)

If you know of anyone moving out on their own, Menards would be a great place to gather items for a gift basket of various tools and items that someone may need to take care of their home. There would be many possibilities for gifts from just these free after rebate items (not to mention the items that are just a few bucks after rebate, too)!

For example, you could pick up a hammer, tape measure, super glue, stain/paint brush, electrical tape, sandpaper, utility knife, screwdriver, level, and a few handi-clamps, and just find a basket to put them all in and you've got a great gift for someone just starting out! If you already have Menards Merchandise Credit Checks to "roll" you may not even have to pay tax on these (as is the case in my area - it depends on your local tax laws).

Or you could pick up The Sherpa (blanket/poncho - like a Snuggie I'm guessing) and then the TIGI hair products and you have a gift for someone that may not be into tools and home repair (or maybe they're like me and they'd like those in addition to tools and home repair items!).

For someone that may need lawn/garden care items you could get the free after rebate rake and watering wand and then head over to the gardening center which likely has many clearance items this time of year and put together a great gift that way!

Awesome idea!

I also just thought of the lint brushes (3 pk.) that are free after rebate. I know that a little while ago they had Waggin' Train Dog Treats and Fresh Step Cat Litter that were both free after rebate. I think they also had a ball launcher (for throwing tennis balls for dogs) free after rebate around that same time. These all could be potential gifts for pet lovers! (as long are they aren't picky on brand for the treats & litter)
