So I just got back from Menards and have an answer to my own question above.

YES. The rebate is on the 4 oz, 8 oz, pint and quart jars. The Elite jars are not included. there were a few varities that may not be included but the wide and regular mouth varieties are (thats all I cared about).

The rebate form is # 0402 if you want to look at it online. I'd post the 6 sku's but they wouldn't be real helpful without being in the store. They are on the form, though.

Jane - I don't follow the Ace rebates very closely (my Ace dosen't take MQs) but from what I know, they haven't had a simular offer. Like I said, though, I don't pay too much attention to them.

Other good places for canning equipment (esp. jars) would be Freecycle and Craigslist (of course) as well as garage sales and thrift shops (I got some cool blue-tinted Ball 1/2 gal jars at mine!). Look for smooth rims w/o chips or cracks or anywhere else on the jar if you are going to use it for canning. I'm pretty new to canning myself!

The half pints are $3.49 per dozen after $2 MIR. Using the $3/2 q they are $2/dozen.

They also had a 4 pack of the new short fat squatty jars for $3.99...not part of rebate though. Still used the $3/2 jars. So they were $2.50 each..lower than I've seen them.
