Menard's takes coupons?

From the Menard's FAQ's:

Does Menards accept coupons? Note: IP's may be a YMMV situation, the one time I used them I had to take them to Customer Service so they could look them up on the computer.



Menards will accept competitor and manufacturer's coupons both mailed and internet (see guidelines below):

• Coupon states "Manufacturer's Coupon".
• Coupon includes a scannable barcode and a valid remit address.
• Coupon must have an expiration date and be presented within the valid date. Menards WILL NOT accept expired coupons.
• Coupon must be for product we sell and must be presented at the time of purchase.
• Use of multiple coupons will be enforced per manufacturer's rules and limitations.
• Due to fraud, Menards WILL NOT accept coupons for "Free Product".
• Competitor coupons must be from a local competitor.
• Use of coupons for specific $ amounts off of entire transactions will be honored per coupon rules and limitations.
• Competitor coupons for discounts when using specific tenders will be honored when using the Menard Big Card.
• Due to fraud, Menards WILL NOT accept competitors' coupons for a % off a total transaction greater than 10%.
• Due to fraud, Menards WILL NOT accept coupons that have been copied or altered. Menards, also, WILL NOT accept coupons that have been purchased or sold on the Internet.

Last week I used several mfr q's with no problem (8 ct. Pop Tarts for $1/box - made the hubby and kids happy!) but I haven't tried an IP at our store. I'll cross my fingers and let you know if it works or not. :o)

I never thought to ask if they take coupons. I thought you could only use them at grocery, drug and big box stores.

The funny thing is that's where I buy my papers!

I know our's in Bradley, IL takes mq's. But they will not take ip's.

At my store it's a YMMV. One cashier took about 10 IPs from the me other day. Yesterday the cashier said, "Oh, Internet coupons - we can't take those." But I told her they had taken them before and as long as they scanned they should be okay. Funny thing was she had already scanned them all and I was paying when she questioned the Q's.

My Menard's turn down my IP Q's today for this deal. The cashier called over the manager, he turned them down. Said they don't accept IP Q's. I really needed more lotion.
