Thumbs Down Will not accept internet coupons!

I went to Menards on Saturday .I had 3 coupons one was interent one for milk bone biscuits .
Cashier took the 2 "regular ones" then called supervisor over for the interent one .Said she had to get permission .I of course explained I had used them no problem before .
Supervisor came over asked if it was internet (duh ) said no can't use them .

    Looked on their web site

Here is what web site says

    Do you accept coupons?
Menards will accept competitor and manufacturer's coupons both mailed and internet (see guidelines below):
    Coupon states "Manufacturer's Coupon".
Coupon includes a scannable barcode and a valid remit address.
Coupon must have an expiration date and be presented within the valid date. Menards WILL NOT accept expired coupons.
Coupon must be for product we sell and must be presented at the time of purchase.
Use of multiple coupons will be enforced per manufacturer's rules and limitations.
Due to fraud, Menards WILL NOT accept coupons for "Free Product".
Competitor coupons must be from a local competitor.
Use of coupons for specific $ amounts off of entire transactions will be honored per coupon rules and limitations.
Competitor coupons for discounts when using specific tenders will be honored when using the Menard Big Card.
Due to fraud, Menards WILL NOT accept competitors' coupons for a % off a total transaction greater than 10%.
Due to fraud, Menards WILL NOT accept coupons that have been copied or altered. Menards, also, WILL NOT accept coupons that have been purchased or sold on the Internet

I e-mailed them any way and asked
Got an email back saying no they don't because of fraud .

OK why in the world does the web site say one thing and the people say something else .
I emailed them the above portion I have yet to hear back .

I had a legitimate coupon it was off the Milk bone web site .

    THis steams me up

I hear you. I dont think I've ever tried an IP there before, but if its posted on their website, they really should accept this until the discrepency gets resolved. If they had some low-budget, out of date website, I'd say it was old information, but they update their website all the time for ads and rebates. They should honor it no matter what, though.

Good luck with this issue. Hopefully they'll at least send you a giftcard and a "sorry"

--I want to ETA that my local grocery store only takes IPs from Smartsource or Coupons.com (they are actually more comfortable with the coupons.com ones) because they know how to look for the dot-scan /pin codes on them. I dont know if they would take a MF one... maybe its the same at Menards?

thanks for posting the guidelines. I never thought about it, but I bet I can use target q's with mf q's on TP and stuff like that. Their grocery section can have pretty good deals as well.

I have had the problem that they won't take 3 of the same coupons for 3 of the same items. They have to ring each one up separately. Stupid and wastes my time. I emailed them. we'll see what they say. I haven't tired IP's.

I'm having the exact same problem rcoupon2000. It really stinks when the item is a rebate item and I want to purchase 2 using two coupons. Since we can only use one receipt for the rebates I'm not getting as good of a deal as I could be. They insist that the word "purchase" is the same as "transaction".

As far as the IP's, I had a front end manager study my 2 IP coupons (reading every word). She then decided to accuse me of making copies and trying to redeem fraudulent coupons. It was unbelievable. With access to several computers, I have no reason to copy any stupid coupon and risk getting banned from shopping there or get involved in any fraudulent copying. I politely explained that every coupon has a code and can be verified. Then she told me they don't take IPs. I said I'm pretty sure you do. So she ran over, grabbed the coupon policy and slammed it down on counter and said "see, it says right here that we don't take them". SO I decided to take a minute to actually read it and gee...what did I see? Oh yeah! On the very first line, it states that they take IP coupons. *laugh* The GM came over and made her take the coupons. She was so ticked and kept nagging on me about how 'special' I was to get the override from the GM. It was really laughable. I will be either writing the manager of that store and/or making an appointment to discuss her rude behavior and also what the purpose is to limiting coupons to one per transaction.
