Raincheck Question

I had a coupon for buy 1 Meaty Bone product and get a Canine Cuts (7oz or less) bag for Free. Well, Meijer had the MB but were out of the Canine Cuts so I went to ask for a Raincheck. The woman behind the counter was super rude and told me that they could only give rainchecks for items that were in their ad. I explained to her that it was product that they carried but were out of. She told me that she wouldn't do it and that "you coupon people" really need to stop cleaning off the shelves.

Okay, I had 2 coupons and I was buying two products at sales prices (that was in their ad). That damned show has given all of us just trying to save some money a really bad reputation and I'm getting kind of tired of it.

Does anyone know if it's only sale/ad items that rainchecks can be given out on?

His may be a YMMV situation but in my experience with Meijer they only give rainchecks on items in the ad.

As far as I am aware.. rainchecks are only given for ad items..not for regular items that they happen to run out of unfortunately.

All ad items are not eligible for rainchecks either... alot of them say no rainchecks right on the sign.. :(

Well, crap on a cracker! Luckily, I was able to use them at Kroger (who had everything on the shelf!)!

I just talked until they gave me the rainchecks anyway. I think they just wanted to get rid of me. I was really surprised that only ad items were eligible for rainchecks.

Even if they don't give rainchecks on every item, she had no right to blame you for clearing shelves.
2 items is NOT clearing shelves.

Rainchecks are only for ad items. However... If you had asked for the merchandiser or buyer or whatever they call them in that store for that department you could have told him or her that you would like to be notified when that item is in stock. They may or may not accomodate. I always did when I was a merchandiser for K Mart.
