Weird thing happened today

So I was able to get to Meijer's store today .I had 4 coupons all were 1.00 off ,did not notice till I got home that they took 3 of my 1.00 off coupons and the 4th one said 55 cents .
I don't know why that happened and of course since I do not live very close ,I am not going to be able to do anything about it .
Just thought it was odd .

That has happened to me too. You have to watch closely to see what is actually being taken off at the register. On more than one occasion I have had a coupon deduct an odd amount that is not the face value of a coupon. It is not a case were the face value of the coupon would be more than the item, just coupon coming off at some odd amount.

There have been a number of posts about q's there coming off in weird amounts or coming off altogether in the last couple of weeks. I used the Totino's .50 off 3 and it came off as -.33 -.33 yesterday.

I've had the same thing happen to me. I went to CS about it and they didn't know but at least gave me the difference back. Who knows?? Computers?

Sounds like everyone needs to start contacting corporate.. let them know there's an issue and hopefully they'll take a look at the system..

I've tried to contact them by emails to corporate, to the store, on their facebook page, and by filling out a negative survey from my receipt. NO ONE has commented at all.

I have three meijers near me and I called each one the other day to ask about the coupon policy EACH store gave me a different answer.

Basically what I can get from it is that Meijer no longer doubles all they time, they only do it when it's in the paper and then only two like coupons double.

Doesn't totally answer the OP question but it could have been one of their new crazy rules that no one knows. One Customer service rep actually told me they had to change the rules because of "those" couponers.

I'm very disappointed with the new Meijer policies and the fact they aren't communicating with their customers at all. With the great new Walmart policy i might be taking my business there.

There is definitely a computer glitch at times. We used to have a lot of issues with this happening with mealbox coupons. There is a thread about it somewhere. Megani, I'm so sorry you are not getting a response from those stores. Every time I complain at mine I get a call. I would let corporate know you are never getting a response.


But really it does sound like a corporate computer issue to me. I have had this happen every so often for manufacturer coupons and neither the cashier nor I can figure out why it happens. You just have to watch like a hawk.

Sometimes it has to do with the price of the item--for example if the item is $1.25 and the coupon is for $0.75 sometimes it will get a weird error about the coupon exceeding the item value (which it doesn't, so, huh?). Anyway, depending on what button the cashier presses, the coupon goes through and doubles to $1.00 or stays at $0.75. It's weird and I don't totally get it.

Not good news I know but I would encourage you to make a copy of your receipt and email it to corporate with your complaint. Before when we had mealbox coupon issues they asked us to do that. I think it helps the IT powers that be figure out what the issue is. Good luck and keep us posted!
