Price of eggs

Can anyone tell me why eggs are $3 a dozen at Meijer's this week. The eggland eggs were only 1.30 after coupon, but the regular eggs that Meijers carries has been priced between $2-3 a dozen for weeks now.

One other huge price jump-our store price for Smart Balance 1/2 gallon was 3.69, now 3.99.

The large eggs were $1.49/dozen at my store (Meijer brand) but that is $0.40 more than it has been typically ($0.99 or $1.09)

OK...just got back from my Meijer store. I did see large eggs for $3.09...but the other sizes were $1.69, $1.74, and (I think) $1.83. I thought it was odd! The Egglands Best eggs were 2/$4. Since I had some .50/1 coupons, I got them for a dollar a dozen.
