Thanks for the info, hopefully this will still be around by the time I can get to a printer LOL.

Has anyone tried these bars? A few of the granola ones looked good to me, but I don't have much luck with these types of bars, so I was hoping someone could give me a review. :-)

My kiddos like the cereal bars (any flavor) and my husband says the strawberry cereal bars are ok (he's not a big Kashi fan so if he's eating them they aren't half bad). I don't mind the strawberry kinds either.

I've also tried the Chocolate Chip granola bars with dried cherries - those are really good IMO. I also like the Oatmeal chocolate chip TLC cookies ;)

I LOVE the dark chocolate/coconut bars! I'd almost put those on the level with snickers bars. :) (coconut is not overwhelming...)

I don't like nuts though, and it seems they are on almost all of these. Thanks for the input ladies!

    Hi Guys!

This is my first post and my first stockpile item ~ yea me :)

I went into my local Meijer here in Illinois, used the coupon and then still had to pay the $.05 tax ... is this correct? I would think the tax total would be taken from the final total, right?

Again...this is my first time so I'm sorry if this is a silly question. Hey...even if $.05 is correct, it's AWESOME!!

    Thanks!

    Good job!

And yes, that's normal for most states. The tax must be paid by the customer. But still a great deal!

Some coupons will have a caveat in the fine print saying that the person using the coupon is responsible for paying the taxes on the item...for instance the verbiage would or could read "Consumer must pay sales tax". A couple of my freebie Qs have this in their fine print. When you are getting the freebie, and anyone else please feel free to chime in, you are getting the face value of the product for free, which does not include the sales tax. There for, if the Q states, max value $5.99 and your box of bars were only $4.95, the Store would have put in a value of $4.95 on the Q and that is what you would have received as your "freebie" not the face value of the Q and not the actual value of the bars including the sales tax. HTH.

Thank you guys ~ I appreicate the info!

One more question...is there a limit to how many of the same item you can get for free at Meijer? I am intending on printing out 10-15 more of these coupons and stockpiling these for the next 3 months. I wanted to do this all in 1 transaction ~ but is that okay?

I'm so excited! I walked out of the store feeling like I had conquored the world ~ all for $.05 :) I think I could be a coupon junkie for sure ;)

Julie - My Meijers have been posting signs lately stating limit of 15 of any one item (regardless of cpns). not sure how much this is enforced. I think your deal will be cashier's call. I had a planter's peanuts deal last year that I got each jar for 25c....I got 24 jars and they had to call a mgr to make sure it was ok. He blabbed something about limit of 15 items but he'd let it go this time. Honestly if I was paying full price I doubt anyone would have batted an eye @ 24 jars.

About the tax, we don't have food tax in MI, but I guess if you do in IL, that is correct. You always pay tax on the pre-coupon price. Most stores take tax off if its a "store" coupon, but with mfr coupons, thats how it works.

    Which ones are good?
I fell in love with Kashi & MSF stuff thru my nutrition/weight-loss program. I love the almond/dark choc and the dark choc cherry bars. I have heard alot of ppl love the coconut ones but I've yet to try them since I have the others stocked to kingdom come! LOL
