If you bought any of these "Giftables by Totes", I suggest you call and insist that they make good on this product! Here's the story...

I was happy to find a 75% off sale (reg price $9.99) on the "Giftables by Totes" displayer in the seasonal aisle at Meijer. But it turned out to be a problem when I got home and noticed the batteries weren't included even though it stated that they were on the box. (I'm guessing this is the problem on more of the "giftables" besides the flashlights.)

When I called the toll free number on the box, the lady tried to get away with just a quick apology and comment that it was a printing error on the box. I said, "That's all you're going to do...you're not going to make things right for the customer?" She really kept trying to blow off the situation saying that I could buy the batteries or I could return the box of flashlights to Meijer.

At that point, I said that there was something else I could do...call the Consumer Protection Agency! Only at that point, did she offer to send me another box of 3 flashlights, but when I told her I'd bought 4 boxes and wanted 4 boxes she said she'd call me back.

This ended to my satisfaction when she called back telling me that they would send me the 36 batteries for all 4 boxes of flashlights!

Shame on Meijer. I bet they knew about this problem and that's why the 75% off sale, but there was nothing posted about no batteries included.
