Meijer ~ Vent: "Are you one of those people who want everything for free?"

If you had a cashier say that to you how would you take it? My hubby, ofcourse, said she didn't mean anything by it, I said she was out of line... guess I'm "One of those people" She said they were trying to do away with "people like me" getting things free with coupons.
I told her that with my hubby losing his job, me on disability, and we have 3 teens... I guess I am "one of those". I also pointed out that the only thing I was getting for free was the AM bread and buns... she could do the same thing, the MB coupons are on the Meijer site. She said she didnt have time... blah blah blah.

$3.87 total

I done this transaction 3 times. Not bad for "one of those people". sorry for keep quoting that but it just irked me.

Sounds like she is just jealous that she isn't "One of those people". I wouldn't worry about it at all. I would have smiled at her and said "yes I'm one of those people" "thank you" got my stuff and left.

I would say...yes, yes I am. Why pay for things I use when for a little extra time I can get them free? It is funny that no one has the time...me, I don't have the money...time is all I have! Look out stores!

Why pay for something you can get for free and if they did not want us to find these deals then why would they put q's out for them?

That would chap my arse if a cashier said that to me! I'd tell her it wasn't any of her business and she didn't get paid to repeat what she interpreted as her store's plan!
