Meijer Weekly Ad 1/03/2009-1/09/2009

Was at the Lafayette, IN Meijer. I have no clue who is doing it, but someone is making copies of Internet Prints (smartsource, bricks, etc...) and placing them on the shelves, AGAIN... Lady from the cash office also told me about a week ago that someone got ahold of their "custom coupons" (the ones they offer when the CAT machines don't work) and has already redeemed over $500 in $5 custom coupons so any $5 coupon will make them call for management. Seriously, all of this is gonna make our Meijer stop being so friendly...

Someone did that at the Southport, IN store too. The custom coupon thing. I found out when I was using a $10 one. Luckily the manager had written it for me and he remembered doing it. He said that someone had gotten a whole pack of the custom coupons and was making out with a lot of merchandise. From now on, if the cats don't print, I will be sure to get my custom ones done on seperate coupons instead of having them put them all on one. I missed out on 5 $2 ones, he asked me if I wanted one $10 one or 5 $2 ones. I of course chose the $10 one.

I guess I should have scanned, but all the honey nut cheerios were marked over $3 a box. How much were they?

They are $1.67 on sale for the 12 oz box, it is actually in the little glossy ad this week.

Regarding the GM cereal deal...has anyone tried to do eight boxes at once? I am wondering if the $4 would come off twice or not. I have a Meijer cataline that printed off for $2 off 4 boxes of cereal, or $3 off 5 boxes...I have enough Manufacturer's Q's to get eight boxes so I would love to be able to get that extra dollar off if I can. The wording in the ad makes it seem like you get the $4 off each 4 boxes, as it does not say Buy 4 or more and get the discount. Just wondering if anyone has tried it...planning to go Wed. and trying to get all my q's in line. Thanks!

I see internet coupons laying around the store sometimes.
I always thought they were put there by people who wanted to get the points from mypoints.

Makes me glad that I never used any of them if they are copies.:shrug7:

I bought 8 boxes tonight and $1 came off under each box for a total of $8 off!

Sad thing is a lot of times I realize I won't be using a coupon, printed or from press and I place it down so someone can use it. This will make me rethink that.

Thanks for all the responses about buying more than 4 boxes of GM cereal!! I am going to buy eight tomorrow...then I won't be needing cereal for awhile. :)
