Meijer:"I experienced another problem with the $5 "on the spot" deal

One of the Meijer I go to refused to allow me to use the mealbox coups because they said the $5 "on the spot" was a Meijer promotion and the mealbox coups state "can't be combined with any other Meijer promotion."

I said that was a Kraft Foods promo not a Meijer promotion but they wouldn't budge. I went through the uscan cashier and two middle mgt supervisors and 20 minutes of my time before I gave up and when to another Meijer that had been doing this exact deal for me all week. When I called corporate customer service, they just referred me back to the store...like I want to spent another 20-30 minutes going over this with the store director!

Maybe I'll email the mealbox coordinator because someone in another post had some luck getting someone there to listen concerning another mealbox problem.

Postscript:
Later in the day, I did the $5 "on the spot" deal with the Lunchables and instead of the $5 deduction showing on the receipt, the catalina machine printed 5 $1 OYNO coups. IT SAYS RIGHT ON THERE "THANK YOU FROM LUNCHABLES...which is also a Kraft company. Doesn't this "prove" that this $5 deal is a Kraft promo?

I haven't had this problem at all with buying the lunchables that are part of the promotion. The ones with the water are NOT part of the promotion and from what I've seen are the ones that are printing the $1 OYNO coupons. Not sure which ones you bought tho???

That's nothing-you should hear what the Meijer on Colerain told me today.

"There's a new federal law that we can only let you use four mealbox coupons."

"You can only use mealbox coupons when you pay full price for the item. You can't use them when the item is on sale (100 calorie Nabisco snacks)"

I did point out that I found it highly unlikely that Congress was concerned about Meijer's coupons, and I even showed the manager the ad where it says RIGHT UNDER THE SALE INFORMATION- "Look for $20 in Kraft coupons on Meijer Mealbox"

My 14 yr. old started laughing when the cashier-and the customer service clerk told us about the "federal law".

Ugh! Meijer is really horrible about this.

Ok, so I'v been doing this all week and haven't had a problem other than my coupon amounts being changed by the new meijer system and them not accepting my $1/2 nabisco Q's because they say for october or november. I guess I missed that cause I was just looking @ the EXP. Date. Anyhow, still only .29 cents a box and I got the rebate for it too. I feel like I really made out cause I got .........

$0.00 10 - 100 cal packs for Free after MB $1/1 and Man. $.75/2 coupons
$3.45 5 - Kool aid drink boxes for
$0.00 5 mac and cheese cups @ the kroger sale this week
$3.45 Total OOP and .........

Sent in for the $20.00 rebate

Did this 2x and sent a rebate in for my Dad too! I love to send him surprise checks in the mail.

Okay, I'm cracking up about the federal law thing. That really is ridiculous. You really need to email the mealbox coordinator and tell her about that!

I am continuing to have trouble with the mealbox coupons not ringing up correctly with the 100 calorie packs. I plan to scan and send them to the coordinator.

You know, I guess it really was funny.

You could tell that the manager who came over didn't want to disagree with his cashier and customer service clerk, but he did get a very strange look on his face when I asked about the "federal law".

My poor daughter-she put her head down, and was giggling at the thought of laws for couponers...but then she said, "I might be laughing...but I'm crying on the inside. Don't they know that you know there isn't a law about Meijer coupons?"

I'll send Meijer an email tomorrow.

Really, I just wanted the cheapo snacks for my junior high kids at school.

"Federal law" about limiting mealbox coupons... OMFG! Then why can you print as many as you want... some of these cashiers are getting completely ridiculous, as are the managers.
