Meijer-Aunt Milles and Johnsonville Brats coupon?

Under the hotdog buns in the Aunt Millies display it said:

Buy 2 johnsonville Brats and get 1 Aunt Millies hot dog buns free (see coupon for more details).

I asked the Aunt M guy about it. He said that if I bought the johnsville brats then the hot dog buns would come off automatically. I asked about dates and he wasn't sure.

I walked over to the johnsonville section and didn't see anything. But on a different display (with just hotdog buns) I saw the coupon taped to the display. I'm not sure, however, if you have to have the coupon b/c there were other signs there (the coupon is an actual peelie that says that the exp date is 7/31/09) I went back to the Aunt M person and asked him. He said that he wasn't sure how long the promotion was going to last in the actual store vs using the coupon. So he doesn't know if the promotion is going to be as long (meaning...right now there is the promotion and you don't have to use the peelie to get the free hot dog buns, but he wasn't sure if the promotion was going to last as long as the actual coupon).

Wish they had more info...maybe someone here does??

Hmm, no idea on that one. I don't remember seeing anything about it in the ad. I am pretty sure that you have to use the coupon to get the buns for free, otherwise the (see coupon for more details) part wouldn't make sense.

I have the peelie coupon (thankfully found that on the bread while looking for details about the deal)...what I'm trying to figure out is if the promotion works without the coupon.

Maybe I'll try it out and if it doesn't work I'll "produce" the coupon...worth a try?!? With the holiday coming up and all.

I actually know that at my store, it did NOT go through automatically. Last week, we just happened to be buying the Johnsenville brats and the Aunt Millie's bread together and then noticed the coupon promotion. We didn't have a peelie and we went back to look and see if any of the other packages had the peelie. None of them did. We hoped that at the register it would come off automatically, but it did not. We were disappointed. I thought it was a little lame that they were promoting the deal and didn't have any products with the coupon on it, and it didn't come off at the register. Either that, or we had a coupon theif. :/
