Meijer-FREE McCain's Fries

My store had these marked and of course when I went they were gone. I found one bag in another area but I really wanted some of the sweet potatoe ones for the diet I am trying to start back up on.

At our store, all the McCains fries were regular price. Their was a sign saying that the garlic roasted ore idas were on clearance for .64. When you went to the spot to pick up some of those garlic roasted potatoes, the spot had been filled in with the regular roasted potatoes and they were charging 2.59 a bag for them. I also found a few other items in Meijers tonight like this. They would have the clearance sign up for one item and it would be filled in with another item, but no change in the sign and people could be easily tricked into buying the item thinking that it was the clearance item.

If the fries are not marked as clearance, take them over to the Price check scanner to check the price.

At two of our local Cincy area stores, the fries are not marked, but when scanned, scan for $.64

Anyone know if this is going on at MI stores? I actually had bought 20 of the $1 off coupons a while back because we love this brand and they retail for $2 so I was thinking $1 was a good deal but free is always better

If you are able to, keep checking back. I went on Tuesday and they were out of the McCain fries and I went back today and they were stocked up again so I got 7 bags. Thanks and repped!!

I went to Eastgate Meijer tonight and scanned the smile face fries and they were regular price, couldn't find any others. :sad:

The Smiley face ones are clearanced at the Colerain store in Cincinnati! The 2 shelves above them are marked clearance & of course the shelves are bare. The smiley faced ones do not have an orange price tag & they are ringing up with the clearance price, there were tons left when I was there Thursday.
