Meijer - Nervous about Tonight's Shop.

This is sort of a weird question, but do any of you at your Meijer have a cashier that just loathes your entire existence because you use coupons? I have one, and two weeks ago I had her chewed out by a manager because I was just DONE with her craziness. It was late and I was really sick and just ready to burst I was so frustrated with all of her ridiculous rules that she really knows nothing about.

Here's the catch. She's the only one who works on Thursday nights when I shop. I shop at around 12 am or so, because I'm a bit people-phobic and don't like crowds.

I'm really nervous that I'm going to go in and have some big giant showdown with her and have to call for a supervisor again because I'm either getting alot of things free this evening or alot of cheap things.. and I'm nervous!

Anyone else feel this way about their cashier?

Why do they make us feel like thieves for cutting coupons and being a smart shopper?

I have a lady that works late night at Meijer also and I planned on calling a manager about her two weeks ago and never did. I can feel your pain! Let us know how it goes.

It's just literally a constant battle... every two weeks ( that's when I do my big shop for meat and milk and stuff... then on Sunday when the new ad comes out I go pick up my freebies during the early morning.) and literally I've just HAD it with cashier's that don't know squat about coupons. It's not my fault and you're not going to punish me because you have no idea what's going on.

I had a raincheck two weeks ago for sausage that ended up being a $1 a pack after my coupon, and she claimed that the ( I know you all know this one) 1 coupon per purchase means 1 per transaction and NO! I will not let you use the raincheck price on 8 different transactions so you can get the 8 packages you wanted. I went berzerk at that point and started asking for a supervisor.. the raincheck expired that day and I had checked twice a week for a month to get that sausage and were out 'til then.. needless to say she got in trouble.. but yeah. I don't understand why I'm such a bad person for using coupons! I get more frustrated the more I think about it. :T

My husband does our weekley shopping at Meijer, so I've not had this problem. Could you maybe ask the supervisor to wait on you?

pretty much anyone working the sco lanes have it out for me, it seems every time im there they have to stop take my coupons call someone up (floor manager maybe?) have a big long discussion while giving me the evil eye, and once everything is cleared they come back and just completely ignore me while punching through my coupons! never called a manager about the way ive been treated but my last trip i came pretty close ...

I've had the same problems with Meijers cashiers. On one visit the 2 self check cashiers made me feel like I was stealing. They opened the coupon box, told me I couldn't a A1 coupon or more than one catalina and after my transaction they shut down my register and printed a duplicate receipt. Then said this is wrong.I was so very upset but didn't request management because I'm a merchandiser and I was working in that store prior to shopping. When I got home I filled out the survey at the bottom of the receipt and went into detail on how I was treated. At the end of the survey was a phone number, I called it and they put me through to the store. So I gave descriptions of the cashiers to the manager who assured me that's not how they want thier customers treated no matter how many coupons they use. The following day the store manager called me, he received the information from the survey I filled out. He assured me this would not happen again in his store. He said some cashiers take it upon themselves to create thier own coupon policies. He said we put the deals out there for you. So I would suggest that any rude cashiers should be brought to the attention of the management team. Either requesting management when having a problem or getting the cashiers name and filling out the survey on your receipt. I can't wait to come across those 2 again!
