Meijer Weekly Ad 5/10-5/16

My sale started today. Here is what I got and how much I spent. Bear with me.

18 packs hotdogs (no I didn't take them all)
1 Kashi Waffles
8 Cookie Doughs
3 Kraft chunk cheese
1 coffee creamer
6 Kraft mayo
2 Mt. Olive pickles
7 Caprisun Sunrise
4 1lbs bananas
6 gallons water
1 pack of sliced watermelon
2 loaves of Aunt Millie's bread
2 packs of Aunt Millie's buns
13 Kraft salad dressing
12 Hunts ketchup
2 5lb. bags of onions
1 Wheat Thins
1 Triscuit
2 boxes of tea bags
1 Smores cereal
1 Cocoa Krispies

I only spent $37.93!!! I think that is pretty good. Granted I did do 9 transactions between 2 stores. I saved a lot. I saved $100 just with coupons. I still have more hotdog coupons, but I think 18 packs was enough. For some reason I lost count and ended up with 18 even though I only needed 12. Oh well, I can freeze them. Both stores had a huge stock of them. Every time I went past, they were restocking them.

Has anyone else noticed short shelf lives for some of the Kraft items that are great deals this week? I've been several times this week, so I know they've restocked, and the dates on the original mayo have all been July 09 and the hot dogs either late June (29 or 30) or July 1. I'm wondering if they're pricing to move them, as expiry dates for those items are usually at least 6 months (often more).

I noticed that on the hotdogs. I will have to check the mayo. I didn't even think about it.

I used the BOGO coupon for the artisan crackers to get the $1.00 cheese but I did not get the Crystal Light cat. So, you can buy those and get the $1.00 cheese but understand you will not get the crystal light cat.

Argh...I haven't even given that any thought...guess I better go and look...I'm going to be so grumpy if my mayo & dressing have short expiration dates... :hectic1: (this is how I feel these days...)

Yep my mayos all expire in November 09....I was really surprised to see several bottles of kraft dressing that expire June 08 2009!! So glad I checked & got to the back of the shelf for the Dec 2009 bottles...no way could I use a bottle of dressing in a few short weeks...I try & always check dates--so irratating to get something that's almost expired & still on the shelves.

The hot dogs WILL ring $1.25 in the Cincinnati area. They are not in our ad, and the signs are not up, but they DO ring $1.25

I don't know if you can get it free somewhere else or if this really is a good deal. But if your kids like jello and you are out...then I would figure this is a good deal?
