Meijer limiting IP's

I was told today by my cashier that they are limiting IP's at my Meijer because they have been having problems with fraud. I was told 1 like IP per transaction. She was very nice though and after I showed her that mine had all unique codes on them she let me use them anyway. They say all good things must come to an end, but it seems that they end because a few dishonest people ruin it for the rest. :sad:

That's a bummer.

My Meijer gave me such a hard time about any IP's, including Mealbox, that I just quit using them. I only use insert coupons and Cats. Even those beep and then the cashiers question everything I purchased. *sigh*

Yep I can join the club -they question many q's I use lately. Almost all of mine are from the SS and RP on Sundays too. One of my posts was the cashier had to several times call the service desk and ask the head cashier about me using several q's (these were not IP's). Our cashiers even keep a folder with copies of fraudulent q's to reference.

Holy cow, that REALLY sucks!! My Meijer hasn't done that yet (limit IP's) but if they do, I am going to be sooooo bummed b/c I find a lot of my deals with IP's. With the cost of everything and low wages I can't afford not to use coupons.

Yeah it bums me too. Some of the best deals I find are with IP's.

I had an interesting situation today. I was buying 4 coffee products in a transaction and getting a catalina for $4 next transaction. I happened to have 3 of these catalina (and it said right on each one, one per "purchase"), and the clerk started to say I could only use one for my entire transaction. I started to say "yes, but...." and I was thinking is says "purchase" as in "item", not one per transaction. Before I could finish saying anything she scanned all 3, and keyed stuff in, and scanned her card, etc. So I thought it was ok. Until I got to the car. I'd only gotten credit for one $4 catalina. She'd scanned the other two (they registered zero), and she took all 3 and stuffed them in the coupon slot. grrrrrr!

So BEWARE girls. Even if it says "per purchase", the Meijer scanning machines may not let you use more than one per transaction. Splitting up the transactions will be the only way I can use them all here in Indianapolis, evidently.
