Meijer-Help me....

Hey My Fellow Meijer Shoppers...

Next week, our local CBS station will be taping a piece with me about couponing. I am really nervous, b/c I am afraid that Meijer will "blacklist" me b/c it is in TAPE who I am! (I will be shopping at Meijer as they tape)

Also, I want to make sure not to focus too much on "Meijer" and be more general.

Got any tips for me? AND...Anyone wanna help remind me of some ALWAYS almost freebies? I have some in mind...just wanna have a good trip, to represent our couponers well. AND...I am so going to send them here!!!! Our forum is THE BEST for sure!!!!! :smile77::smile77::smile77:

I wouldnt be brave enough, I try very hard to fly under the radar the way it is. Good luck to you. The good thing is that it may help out some people who need it!

Exactly! I try to be extremely polite to my Meijer workers...and then fly low. lol.

The one reason that I agreed to this, was that the article is tying my church in. Our church is a rather large church, and they are offering a pretty big coupon class for 4 weeks. (Which I get the fun privilege of teaching!) I will have the opportunity to advertise this as well. Which is just plain awesome.
And, one of my pastors set this up b/c he was so excited and impressed by coupons! I did not want to let him down. KWIM?

So, even if you would not do it, how can I do it...discretely? I know you guys would understand, since this is your life too!!!! I am thinking VAGUE is the key word...right???

I would say stick to the basics, like coupon doubling, where to find different types of coupons, etc. And then throw in some more specific deals as you are shopping, just as examples. And maybe make one of them a "healthy" deal, just to try to hook in those skeptics who say couponing is only for junk food eaters? lol

I would also demonstrate finding deals & combining with coupons. Like "here in the flyer it's says $10/10 on these items and I know I have coupons for those to make it cheaper."

And talk about stockpiling. I swear that's the most confusing thing to my friends. "Why did you buy 10 packs of X this week again???" "So, I don't need to buy them when they are full price!!" (then I bang my head against my desk)

Are they going to notify Meijer you are coming? I'd go over the top swooning on the store -- how kind they are, it's your favorite store, etc. I don't care if they remember me for liking coupons AND being nice about it.

I watched a lot of those type of stories on you tube. You might want to see what others have shared on tv.

What show are you going to be on? I see you are from IN. That is where I shop, maybe I will see you in a store.

How about where to find the coupons? Before HCW, I thought coupons were only in Sunday papers, I had no idea how many were printable (like Meijer Mealbox) and how there is almost always a coupon for everything.

GREAT ideas!

I have been trying to figure out how to give a "teaser" so to say. I don't want to give so much info, that then stores all say "BAN HER!" But, I want people to be interested too!

It will be airing in May on WLFI Newschannel 18 Lafayette, Indiana. But, they normally show it all online as well. Hopefully they will do that this time too!!!

Is it possible for you to go to a different Meijer instead of the one you most often frequent? If I were to be brave enough, I would definately not want to go to one that I usually go to. I go to two different ones and I try to make sure I go at different times because I seem to make people mad a lot. LOL. My stores kinda suck.
