I was given a hard time yesterday for the first time about using mealbox coupons with manufacture coupons. I did 2 transactions and on each transaction I intended on using 1 $1.00/4 mealbox coupon and 2 $1.00/2 manufacturer coupons on 4 cans of Campbell’s cream soups, and 1 $1.00/1 mailbox coupon and 1 $1.00/1 manufacturer coupon on 1 McCormick spice. The cashier must have not noticed them with the first transaction because she took them and at least seemed to scan them all. But with the second transaction she noticed the Campbell’s and refused to accept both; she scanned the mealbox coupon and handed the 2 manufacture coupons back without even giving me the choice of which kind I wanted to use. I thought for sure I would be able to get reimbursed for the coupons at the service desk because the woman there had always allowed me to use both before but she said no; she then called over someone else who she said would know more about it and she said no also. When I got to the car and checked my receipts I saw that I didn’t get credited for about 5 of my coupons, 2 of which were for products that had nothing to do with mealbox, meaning I was still short even without considering the coupons that I combined with mealbox coupons. But with the service desk just telling me that I couldn’t combine both I was scared that if I went back to get my coupons back or the money for them they would give me a hard time when they noticed that I had done it on my first transaction. I lost over $5.00 yesterday and unfortunately the cashers missing coupons is something that happens a lot when I go through a regular checkout, that’s why I like the U-scans but anymore those registers seem to beep on 2 out of every 3 coupons.
I sent a very polite email to Meijer yesterday and received a reply this morning but it does anything but address the issue. Please feel free to forward anything to me that may help. I had to get a raincheck on the Ziploc bags which I would like to use mealbox and manufacture coupons on this weekend, and then there’s the V8 V-Fusion deal that requires both coupons that I had my heart set on. I’ve tried really hard to be honest with this store. I even had the opportunity to walk out once after the register had credited me twice for my Meijer Bucks reward I got for using their credit card, but I did the right thing and went to the service desk and paid them back. If I was the type of person who tries to steal I wouldn’t do things like that, Lord knows I could have used the extra money.

MEIJER COUPON POLICY
We accept manufacturer, Catalina manufacturer, Meijer, Catalina Meijer, and internet coupons within certain guidelines. For Meijer, with the Catalina Meijer coupons the customer will pay any applicable sales tax on the discounted price. When a manufacturer or Catalina vendor coupon is presented, the customer pays sales tax on the full retail amount; and we rebate only the value of the coupon. We do not issue rainchecks on out-of-stock vendor coupon items. To be valid, coupons must be presented before or on the expiration date. The customer must meet with the terms or qualifications for redemption on the coupon.
