Meijer's computers automaticly adjust the coupon price so you just have a cashier on a power trip....
Hi all :)
I'm definitely having a few issues with the Meijers around here. I had issues using a Sally Hansen coupon last week and this week, another problem.
The store closest to me is balking at using Qs that equal the price of the product. The latest one I have is a Michelina's coupon for $1/5 and those meals are a buck a piece with the Buy 10, Get 11 Free sale. Does anyone see any reason why I wouldn't be able to use the $1/5 if each meal is $1? I'm going to stop by customer service tomorrow but I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts. I see so many places that allow you to use Qs that are *greater* than the product's price and here I am having issues using equal ones
I had two separate Scott coupons tonight for two 12-packs of TP (different amounts off, different sources) and they said no way on using both.
I have a few Qs that would make a product free at Meijers prices so I'm not sure who's in the right here...TIA![]()

Hmm, blah, figuresHas anyone had any luck using a q for more than the purchase price? They gave me hang over a penny's difference between the purchase price and the q...as far as I believed no Meijers would allow it but a lot of people here seem to be lucky LOL. Thanks, BTW!
Every once in awhile a coupon slips through their system and you get overage.. but 99.9% of the time, the computer catches the difference.. :(

on them! LOL! Eh, can't complain honestly...Meijers has done me good for just about thirty years and the closest one is a one minute drive..and loaded to the gills with organics and healthier options often on sale because we have SO much competition around here for those kinds of groceries. Meijers is such an old Michigan tradition...when I travel I miss it so much!
I ended up not using the Michelina's coupon...none of it looked too good to me :lol6: I just remembered I used the Chex Mix freebie and had no problems there...I guess I ran into a crabby cashier when she wouldn't let me use a q that equaled the priceI need to figure out who around here allows overage. My only other way around the no overage is using their OYNO from various departments which I get TONS of! :)
Thanks everyone!
My store has been pretty okay with coupons. The only ones I have a problem with are the BOGO coupons when they have a BOGO sale. Half the time, it works, the other half I get looked at like I am crazy. Is the cashier scanning the coupons or just saying that you can't use them? I have learned that when the cashier just says that she can't take it, I always ask for a manager. And it never hurts to have the coupon policy. I have never had an issue with coupons for equal price.

We are in Central Indiana.
So I stopped by the customer service desk tonight and my friendly coupon-loving cashier was working. I filled her in on some great stuff to look for on HCW :) (Hi Michelle, if you're reading!) and then talked policy with her. She said for that store, if the coupon is worth more than the item it can be used and will be free. I'm thinking the other store either doesn't do that or I was dealing with someone who just wanted to be a grouch when he wouldn't let me use the $3 off coupon on a $2.99 itemI did find out they have no problem with coupon multiples as long as it's only 1 coupon per item. Fine by me...I got 3 free rolls of paper towels tonight doing that.
I stopped at Krogers and asked about multiples and was told "I don't know. It depends. You can just have to scan them. I don't know" from the MANAGER![]()
The other problem was a cashier scanning the coupon and then saying "You can't use two the same" when they were two separate coupons for different amounts from different sources, but on the same product. NO clue what happened there.
