I'm almost famous at Meijer!

Thursday mornings are my time to shop at Meijer. I've found that they have good stock levels, and they're not too busy at 9am. AND, my fave cashiers work then!

So, I finished my shopping, double-checked my coupons, and set off toward the registers to pick my cashier. I got in line, and was patiently reading the headlines on all of the magazines. A woman walked up behind me, and I notice she only had 4 items. So, I offered to let her ahead of me. I mean, let's face it...I had a coupon for every item in my cart, and since most of them were either WTs or Frees, I knew it would take a while.

She just grinned, and said, "No! I want to see how good you do this week! I've been behind you before!"

OMG!!!! So much for flying under the radar!!! When the other customers know who you are, you can bet the cashiers do!!

BTW...I told her that I could give her the name of this site, and she could do it too. But, she said she knows that she'd give up afte a week or so. Oh well!!

Please give me some tips/help......I only shop at meijer....last week i did all right .....but can't seem to spot the deals there this week....I need to start getting a sunday paper so I can have access to all those coupons....I am subscribed to the coupon sites......but I need more coupon resources! please help a meijer noob!


Also of note my meijer recently has changed the way they handle the clearance stuff....it used to be on the endcaps of all the outer building aisles.....know its all just crammed into one aisle in the back by housewares....strange....

The AMAZING deals are spread out (when they pay you to take cereal, really cheap Country Time lemonade after CAT, etc), but when they are on... it's ON! The good/great deals just take time to coupon match - 10 for 10 get 11th (10/10/11th), but you can really make it work. Just keep reading and watching!

Well I haven't had any other customers notice me however 5 of the cashiers know me and two of the cashier managers oh yeah and the store director/manager (whomever the biggest person in there is... her) I get greeted by so many people when I go shopping it's embarrassing. Even several of the stock people know me, I go at night so I can get them to help find items that aren't on the shelf's... and because that is when my fav cashiers are there.

I hate Meijer and haven't been there in three weeks. They have a woman CSM that sees me come in the door and goes out of her way to give a hard time. She embaresses me and gives me a hard time about coupon usage. I have talked to management until I am blue in the face about it. She lies and tells them I stealing from the company. She tried to tell them she had to have loss prevention talk to me and that is a lie. I have called corporate and everyone tells me they will talk to her about the way she treats me and nothing is ever done about it. The last time I was there she told me to come in at night and shop when another manager was on if I didn't like the way she treated me.

Whoa! That's unacceptable!!!! I would keep calling corporate and upper management about her. She should not be saying those things to you.

You can print Meijer coupons from Meijer Mealbox. This week they have tilapia fish on sale for b1g1. Use (2) 2/1 Tilapia coupons and get very cheap fish. Also their frozen veggies are on sale 1.00. Use their .50/1 coupon - get it for .50 each (or free if you're lucky enough to get those to double.)

Wow! I'm completely shocked that you found a Meijer with 5 cashiers working at the same time! I'm a regular Meijer shopper too, but how do you manage to stockpile anything with their 2 coupon limit?
