What's this lemoade kool-aid and peanuts with cheese deal? I am SOO confused, can someone please post a scenario that can be done over and over so I understand how this works. Why do we need to buy the kool-aid? I am just soo confused!

Has anyone tried the "Kettle-roasted peanuts" that are 4/$5 this week? If these worked, they would be at least free, if not a moneymaker with the $3 coupon. Anyone try yet?

OK, Meijer is running a Catalina deal on Planter’s products until the 13th; buy 3 Planter’s products and get a Catalina for $4.00 off your next order, buy 4 get $5.00, buy 5 or more get $6.50.

I used a $3.00 IP coupon for each Planter’s product that I purchased, but the coupon requires that you purchase 3 Kraft, Nabisco, or Oscar Mayer products in addition to the Planter’s product to receive the $3.00; Kool-Aid and Country Time are Kraft products.

I chose to use mostly County Time and Kool-Aid because Kool-Aid is basically the cheapest qualifying product that anyone has found and the Country Time was on sale 10 for $10.00 with every 11th one free but still qualified as one of the required items. Country Time is also a product I usually buy when it‘s on sale anyway.

I did purchase 4 Kraft 2% cheese singles with the intensions of 2 of them counting as qualifying Kraft items because they where on sale for $2.99 a package, I had a coupon, and there was reported to be a separate Catalina deal printing for those. Buy 2 packages of Kraft 2% singles get a Catalina for $1.00 off your next order, buy 3 packages get $2.00, buy 4 packages get $3.00. However the Cheese Catalina didn’t print for me so I didn’t buy anymore.

I chose do the Planter’s deal last week because they where on sale 3 for $6.00. They are not on sale this week, but the average price for the peanut variety at my store is $2.99 - $3.19 a can.

The best scenario that I can think of;
01.80 - 9 Kool-Aid packets @ .20
09.57 - 3 cans of Planter’s peanuts @ 3.19
11.37
09.00 - 3 IP coupons
04.00 - Catalina
-1.63 - Overage

Or, to cut down on the number of transactions;
03.00 - 15 Kool-Aid packets @ .20
15.95 - 5 cans of Planter’s peanuts @ 3.19
18.95
15.00 - 5 IP coupons
06.50 - Catalina
-2.55 - Overage

Of coarse you will have to add fillers to your transaction to eat the overage, or choose other qualifying items that cost more.

As far as the Planter’s Kettle Roasted peanuts; they may be included in the Catalina deal. The only restrictions listed are sunflower seeds, baking nuts and trail mix; no size restrictions. However, the $3.00 coupon I mentioned above is for 9 oz or larger; the Kettle Roasted peanuts that are on sale this week is only 7.5 oz.

the country time lemonade was on sale last week, not this, right?
