Meijer Brand Product Review

Just wondering what kind of meijer brand products people like or dislike.

I really like the meijer brand Mac & Cheese, it tastes just like the kraft velveta shells and cheese.

I don't like meijer brand yogurt, tastes funky to me.

I'm pretty sure the only Meijer brand products we buy are ice cream and ice cream treats. My grandkids will eat anything on a stick, so it's hard to say if the treats are good or not. BUT...I like their ice cream! I hadn't tried it, until we went to a local college women's basketball game, and there were free q's on the backs of the ticket stubs. Wish I would have noticed when we were at the game! I would have picked up all of the ones on the floor!!

A lot of the Meijer brand products have been a big disappointment to us (soup, yogurt, bagged popcorn wasn't too hot). As long as its stuff that pretty much no one can screw up it seems ok LOL! We've been pleased with the chips and pasta we stocked up on last week.

I have noticed a change in some of the Meijer brand canned veggies. For years that is almost all I bought and we all loved them. Lately, their canned veggies really are not very good. I bought a bunch back in the fall, or winter, and the quality isn't as good as it used to be.
The kids have never complained about any of the snack type foods that we have bought in the recent past. However, I do think their chip - any kind - tend to be really salty.

My favorite is the Meijer brand Buttermilk Ranch Dressing. Personally I think that it is better than any other brands. I used to get a bad aftertaste with the Kraft. But I stock up on the Meijer brand when it is included in the $10/10+1free sale. My entire family loves it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the pasta. It was much better than I thought it would be...and since it was freeeeeeeeee-let's just say I think that added to the flavor.

The snacks, well, the kids will eat anything.

I do not like their yogurt, but their poptarts are ok. I stil like their canned veggies too.

Ok, it's unanimous - their yogurt is gross, lol! I don't like it either.

I have tried several of their Meijer Organics brand items, and I've been pleased with all of them. (I haven't tried the organic yogurt, though.) I especially use their organic canned black beans and garbanzo beans a lot.

Also, their frozen soft pretzels are as good as the Superpretzels. And when their olive oil goes on sale, I stock up.

Ditto the ranch dressing! That stuff is good! And, while people are posting on food primarily, I thought I'd say I think their freezer bags are really good! But, the trash bags are NOT!!!

Yeah, the yogurt is terrible, and we don't care for the popcorn. Their tortilla chips are decent, but as someone else mentioned, quite salty. Their plastic sandwich and freezer baggies are just fine. We buy them if we are out or low and can't find a better price with Q's. We never buy their canned green beans anymore - they are gross.
