    Default Hot dogs

I need recipes for hot dogs!!

I got 32 packages of hot dogs and knockwurst free at acme this week.

I have a boatload of Pillsbury Grands, beans, mac and cheese boxes, beans, lipton sides, yellow rice, pasta, potatoes, and instant potatoes if that helps!

    TIA!!!!

    What about chili cheese dogs?

Or make full size pigs in blanket - wrap a crescent roll around a hot dog? My friend says her kids love when she makes these.

Sweet and sour bites - Chili sauce and grape jelly - these are always popular at a pot luck.

My original pasta salad recipe 25 years ago had hot dogs in it?

Not sure what knockworst is but my sister takes small potatoes, kielbasa, and green peppers covers with ceasar salad dressing and bakes in teh oven until the potatoes are cooked. So could you sub keilbasa with knockworst.

    HTH.

Ok, not everyone will like this but here goes.
Scrambled eggs with hot dog and potatoes
Cut the potatoes up into chunks and cook in your skillet, when they are done add your eggs and cook, then add hot dogs at the end.

I realize not everyone will like this and may think it's gross. But I don't like eggs too well and that was how my dad would cook them for me as a child.

If you like Kraut my family loves it with cut up fried hot dogs. I also slice them up and throw them in a crockpot with BBQ sauce....mac and cheese with hot dogs....
I also slice them up and bake/fry them as a breakfast meat with eggs, pancakes, or grits.

Also for a fun idea, my kids love "Spider Weanies" LOL....you take a hot dog and slice each end length wise in half and in half again, without cutting all the way through then fry them and as they cook the "legs" spread out and make a little spider. :) We make them camping as well....here is a pic of one over a campfire....NOT my pic though.

    Hope it helps. Good luck!
