Marsh: several decent buys for March 25-31

Several items I picked up this week at Marsh were the ham part for .77c lb., starkist tuna in the can, 2 for $1.00 and then I happily realized the Quaker Oats were $1.49 for the smaller 18 oz size. I had .50 Q's that doubled, so .49 for the oats. My husband eats much healthier than I do and he eats the old fashion oatmeal every morning without fail. Alot of the time I can find it for free with the .50 Q's, but when you need it .49 cents is not bad. They also have 5lbs. of apples for 1.99, which I also bought.

I agree. Usually I don't shop at Marsh because it is more expensive than Kroger, but I wanted to see if I could use the $7/$50 coupon that was in the ad they mailed me. I actually did pretty decently.

Kashi 4.19, Coffe-Mate 2.29 and Cats Pride 8.79 I had free item coupons for. Then I got 8.04 lbs of split chicken breasts for 7.88 (I love when they have the chicken on sale!), 2.35 lbs bananas 1.15, 5lbs red apples 1.99, Dannon yogurt 2.00 (not the best price, decent with the .60 coupon) 2 Argo cornstarch 2.76 (-1.60 in coups) 1.17, 2 bags sugar 4.24, 1 jar penut butter 1.99, 2 Quaker Oats 2.98 (-2.00 in coups) .98, 2 pouch tuna 2.00 (-1.00 coup) 1.00, 5 canned Del Monte Vegetables 3.90 (-1.00 coup) 2.90, 1 can red beans .89, 2 Simply Sandies short bread cookies 3.98

Total came to 54.80, used the $7 coupon, got 10% student discount (another 4.72), used a total of 28.28 in coupons and my final total was 21.73! Super jazzed!

I guess the ham deal is still on for next week, too. I got an ad with my mailbox deals this week. I didn't get a chance to look through it yet, but the .77 ham was in huge print on the front page.
