Lowes Home Improvement ~ Question: Does Lowe's take manufacturer coupons?

AFAIK it is YMMV. I have used a few but just the other day overheard a CSR telling someone 'No' over the phone. I have never tried IP's but I will see if I can find out.

I know in the Cincinnati area, no they do not take any manf. coupons of any kind. But they will take competitor coupons like from home depot.

OK...talked to CS at Lowes Corp. and have been told that Lowes will accept any manufacturer coupon. They do not accept expired coupons but have no restrictions on IP's. CS said store managers should know that policy but to have CS call corp if they need clarification.

I will post a written response if one is sent to me via e-mail.

our Lowes take IPs and any other mfr coupons, even competitor coupons.

I'd love something written to take in. Last time I was there with floral WT in hand, they told me NO manufacturer coupons.

I just went to two Lowes stores in the Columbus area today to get the free
Cutters insect repellent deal. At the first store (Georgesville Road), I was told by the manager "absolutely not - we do not accept any manufacturer's coupons". Wish I had something in writing from corporate to show him at the time. He kept insisting he was right regarding Lowe's policy.

The second store (Fishinger Rd) had a much friendlier staff and told me they most certainly do accept manufacturer's coupons. I was happy to get 12 of the 6 oz. Cutter non aerosol insect repellents free.

These are regularly $4.97 each and they are on sale July 26-29th for $.97.
Use the $1/1 coupon that was in one of the inserts last week and that makes them free! this promo was listed on page 6c of USA today recently.
Note: make sure this product scans correctly. The second store I went to had it in their system as 4.97. They did the price adjustment with no problem.
