Lowes Home Improvement ~ Question: Does Lowe's take manufacturer coupons?

I have been unable to get anything in writing. I think I will place a few more calls this week and see if they can send me something.

We just got one of the 10% off at Home Depot cards in the mail for moving and we're going today to buy rugs at Lowes. Lowes should be willing to accept the 10% off q? If that is true - rock on!!

Yes they have always taken Home Depot coupons for me at Lowes

I emailed Lowe's and the official word I got was "feel free to talk to the management at your local store regarding manufacturer coupons". So it is YMMV.

Call the Lowes customer service line. The end of July, I had one of those Visa $10 off $25 coupons. The cashier would not scan it. She just said, "No, we can't take those they are fraudulent". I said, "can you try?" No. She got their communication book to show me there was a directive not to take these coupons but she couldn't find it. She said if I didn't like it call the phone number on the receipt. I paid for my stuff and left. So, when I got home I called the Lowes customer service line and nicely said that I could not understand why the cashier would not at least scan the coupon. CS said that the coupon was fine and that someone would call me. By supper time, I got a call from the manager on duty who said, "Come back and we will take the coupon". I went back--fortunately, one mile from my house and he re-rang the order.

I think it depends on managment of the store. I know the one I work at it's a no go. We only accept Lowe's coupons that we put out.

I work at Lowe's. We previously did not accept manufacture coupons because we did not get reimbursement for them. We were told to take small coupons like 25cents off, etc. just as a courtesy. We got a memo the other day that starting June 1st we can now accept all manufacture coupons. Lowe's now has a clearinghouse so we will be getting reimbursement for them. However, when we scan the coupon it will not deduct or anything. The price has to be manually changed. So you will not see anything on your receipt like you do at like Target, Walmart, etc.

Well they are doing an advertising thing with Kobalt tools and that's an IP so I was assuming they took regular ones as well.

Does anyone know if we can combine a Lowe's Q with a manufacturer Q? I found a booklet of Lowe's Qs for like Glade, Drano, etc., at Lowe's the other day. Didn't realize until i got home and looked more closely at it that they are Lowe's Qs (have a different type of barcode).
