    QUESTION Lowe's official coupon policy - Had a really hard time tonight!

    So I got stuck with the only cashier, a grumpy old man. Typically the little old men are awesome but not this guy.

    He told me that there was no way I could use a lowe's coupon and a manufacturer coupon and that their registers don't even know what coupons are but definitely couldn't take more than one (umm care to start making sense soon?). Three associates later, I left with the deal I wanted but everything got into a huge mess because they said their system doesn't know what coupons are and just kept modifying the price of items so of course, the register then wouldn't accept my lowe's $10 off $50 even though it was scanned first.

    Did we ever get an official policy from lowe's? I see that the sticky says we were trying to. Also, does anyone know how to ring manufacturer coupons into their system?

    What I was trying to do:
    5 pk brita filters 28.98
    slim pitcher 10.45
    pur 3 pk filters (had this pitcher already and needed to hit $50) 10.97
    = 50.40
    - 10/50 lowes coupon
    - 3 lowes brita coupon
    - 1 brita filters mfr coupon
    - 2 pur mfr coupon
    - 4 brita pitcher mfr coupon
    = 30.40+tax

    I paid less tax the way they did it tonight but it was a huge hassle and I don't feel like I was treated kindly at all, I was pretty much called a thief like everyone that sees a good deal says when they don't know any better.

    IF there is something wrong in my scenario, please do point it out.

    I stumbled upon this post as I was searching for a coupon policy for Lowe's. I have to say that the computer systems at lowe's are ancient. Just recently they are starting to update.

    I work at lowe's and I don't now what the coupon policy is. I don't think there really is one since the computers don't recognize them. There is no way around this. Until they update the computers the cashier will have to manually enter the coupon. None of the cashiers are trained on coupons either. It is possible that they would view using two coupons as double dipping.

    Maybe I will submit something to them to suggest a coupon policy be developed.
