Each time I've used competitors coupons at Lowes they gave me a bit of a run around. They weren't nearly as accepting and open about it as Home Depot has been. I've been to 2 in my area with True Value and other coupons and each time they hem and haw over them and have to call a supervisor or management to ask if it's ok or how to process it.

Eventually they do process it but don't be surprised if you encounter some confusion. I think Home Depot has been taking them longer than Lowes, but it may depend by area. They seem very selective around here about what is a competitor.
